Renowned (著名) Taiwan Plastics Tycoon (巨头) Wang Yung-ching died in his sleep at the age of 91.

A top official with the International Monetary Fund’s Research Department has claimed that the US __1__ is posing a major threat to __2__.

World Leaders Call for Efforts to Curb Growing Global Financial Crisis

U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon (潘基文) welcomed leaders and delegates from more than __1__ member states.
He presented them with his __2__ of the state of the world and presented the U.N. __3__ for the coming year. The news was not all good.
“We face a global __4__,” said the U.N. chief. “A global energy crisis. A global food crisis. Trade talks have __5__, yet again. We have seen new outbreaks of war and violence, new rhetoric of confrontation. __6__ ever more clearly threatens our planet.
He urged world leaders to honor their pledges to help alleviate these and other problems, and called for a __7__ effort to try to solve them.

The financial crisis was prominent in the remarks of many of the world’s leaders.

China’s Shenzhou-7 manned spaceship, the carrier rocket (运载火箭) and the escape tower (应急脱离塔) were vertically transferred to the launch pad(发射台) __1__ at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northwestern Gansu Province, marking __2__ of the preparation.
The __3__ transfer lasted more than one hour and __4__ check-ups were conducted. More than 20 __5__ workers were monitoring the process as the transfer must be conducted with the wind speed under __6__.
